Pensacola MESS Hall

The MESS (Museum of Explorable Science and Engineering) in Pensacola, Florida is an interactive science, engineering, and technology museum housed in a former military base. It is located at 418 E Wright St, Pensacola, FL 32502. It’s also known as the National Center for Manned Space Flight and the home of the Gemini V rocket that launched Alan Shepard, who would go on to become America’s first astronaut in space, 60 years ago today, on May 5th, 1961. The MESS is beautifully designed with enormous attention to detail from every exhibit. There are more than 30 different themed halls all over the facility which will dazzle you with their amazing displays. What to Expect at the MESS

The outdoor areas of the MESS also include a playground and a riverfront walking path. The MESS is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; admission is $14 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. You can easily make a weekend out of your visit to Pensacola by stopping by on Saturday for the Space Coast Flea Market event, which features hundreds of vendors selling everything from antiques to handmade goods.
